They will take orders probably starting end of January and as the other commenter said, promote it in a Super Bowl ad for preorders. Doesn’t make sense to announce around the holidays and all the marketing noise. 

How about they just make the new HomePod not sound like absolute trash. That would be a start. I took mine in to return it but it was out of the
return period. However they made an exception because so many people were complaining and they did it by providing engineering with my notes. I wasn’t the only person there at the time with a new HomePod either…

But have you tried paying them and having better working conditions?

Google has changed its messaging platform more often than some change their underwear. I don’t think Apple wants to put energy into following. They’d rather lead and build a successful product.

I love how politicians think that tech companies can just snap their fingers and drastically change their payment, cloud and operating systems within weeks that could effect billions of users. It's cute really.
