They should open source Chrome. That way they can still use it, and develop it, while not being a monopoly. 

It definitely makes sense. 

What I think though is that Apple is looking limiting sales by keeping prices so high internationally. 

In the US the entry level iPhone is only $600 but elsewhere, like here in Europe, it's more. We pay €750. 

Apple needs to have an SE entry model at no more than €500 incl.VAT to help those of us with limited finances to be able to buy one. Do the same across the board:
Watch SE, iPad SE, Air pods SE. 

That will help many more people who WANT Apple products to get into the ecosystem. 

Go to eBay UK and search for iPhone 13 and you'll see that hundreds of people have a used iPhone 13 in their basket. They're waiting for it to drop but the demand is high. 

Apple could have WAY more market share if they catered to us less wealthy.

Indeed Apple are way ahead. To me it was clear how this would play out back when Apple debuted the A4 chip in the iPhone 4. They designed it themselves in-house. That was a real "wow" moment and you knew Apple was going to have the best silicon. First to 64bit with the A7 as well. Then there was the T chips, which were also a breakthrough for security instead of the very poor "secure boot" rubbish that Windows uses. With the M chips they've really started to flex. And as Boger said, the rest of the industry was caught sleeping. They somehow failed to recognise what was happening as well las failed to at least match it. Even the latest snapdragon CPU's on mobile and PC are outpaced by Apple's A and M chips. Someone on twitter ran a test involving several smartphones in rendering video and images, two separate tests, and the A18 Pro chip outperformed even the new SD 8 Elite chip substantially. It wasn't even close. Something like 40 - 50 seconds faster. Plus there are users saying the SD 8 elite gets so hot in the hand when gaming it literally burns you after about 10 minutes.... The industry is fumbling about while Apple is racing ahead.

The pro models are excellent devices, albeit way too expensive compared with other brands which offer similar or superior features for similar or less outlay than a standard iPhone. I hang on to my Apple gear for a number of years, they are paid for by my small business and have a stupid sentimental attachment to the Mac and Apple’s ecosystem, so grudgingly accept the extra cost for the time being, but there are plenty of other great personal computing device options.
