I think it is interesting that one could argue Epic is using its monopoly with its Unreal Engine to either get out of paying the 30% commission or just better rates. From Kevin Gammill: "very few other options available for creators to license with…

I use the Honeywell Lyric which currently has HomeKit integration that works great. In order to activate it, you have to sign up with a monitoring service. I used Alarmgrid out of Florida as they have no contract and you can sign up for one month, g…

I would like to see 4G or even 3G in places like the outer Cape Cod in Massachusetts where many times I cannot get a signal at all.

Another alternative is a cloud backup service such as Backblaze or Carbonite. These services keep multiple versions and are a good defense against physical loss such as a house fire or burglary. I’m not sure about Carbonite but Backblaze which I use…

Have you looked at the Honeywell Lyric? I’ve had it for several months and its HomeKit integration is good. You can use non Honeywell contacts and, for those with an older wired system, you can get a wired to wireless converter.

I hope they add more allowable cameras to HSV. The current limit of 5 just doesn’t to it especially if you have a second home. I have ten Circle 2 cameras between 2 homes using the Logitech storage and it would be a shame to have to change if they…

I am worried that the transition will curtail or eliminate access to low level system functions. For example, iOS does not allow access to MAC addresses on the local network limiting the usability of network scanners. This is just one example that c…

Ok so let’s see. We need to allow Anything into the store. We also need to allow developers access to the lowest levels of the system so we can create wonderful apps that are not available now. Didn’t that already happen with something called Window…

Same here. I’ve had one for several years. The great thing about it is all the models use the same OS. Everything from the small 2-Drive system all the way to the 12-Drive Intel Xeon System use the same easy to use interface. Also I think, althoug…

I’m really going to miss the Circle 2 camera. I have 10 of them in two locations and they work flawlessly. In addition, the 24 hour free storage was perfect for what I needed. By going to exclusively Secure Video, Logitech’s unlimited camera limit i…

Class Action should only be allowed after a successful criminal trial. 93 million plus 1.5 million for expenses. Really!

FYI, you can custom order Serena shades through the Home Depot web site as well. I believe you can order them in the store but haven’t checked due to the stay at home situation.

I think the current pandemic shows the value of having both. Touch ID for when you are using a mask and Face ID when you are using gloves. As for when you are using both, maybe retina ID?

The preference syncing sounds great but it doesn’t seem to address the history issue. On any Eve device that supports history such as the Eve Degree, you have to download the history separately on each device. Ideally it would be great to have the …

I’m not sure why Apple can’t design the pad with 3 sliding coils sandwiched in the pad and have the control (A11 or whatever) magnetically move the coils into proper position under each device no matter where they are on the pad. Since it wouldn’t u…

This makes sense as Apple doesn’t handle the transaction. I think Apple should expand the program to other services such as Spotify. As long as they do the billing and Apple is not involved in the financial transaction, Apple is not losing anything.…

I think a Kids Mode is a good idea and I read on another site of someone who was proposing a “Sick Mode.” While I think it could use a better name, I find it frustrating when I’m not feeling well to have the watch constantly reminding me to check m…

What about Office 365? It runs on iOS, iPadOS, and macOS in addition to all the Windows variants and most versions of Android. https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/academic/compare-office-365-education-plans
