My guess is that it was either a last-minute change, or more likely, Apple didn’t want stats of browsers running “macOS 11” before the keynote, so had the initial builds labeled as 10.16.

Interesting if it is the MacBook Pro. They just be really confident in its performance.

The 12” MacBook was and is my favorite Mac of all time. I still use my 2017 12” daily even though I also have a 2020 MacBook Pro. If they make the 12” a little thicker to accommodate a “magic keyboard” and a 2nd USB-C port (hopefully USB-4), I think…

Nice. Hopefully they bring back the 12” MacBook.

The 10th gen i5 base model is a very good configuration at a reasonable price (it’s $1649 at Adorama right now with the AppleInsider promo). It is faster than the 8th-gen i7 model at a lower price, with better speakers, better graphics, and more por…

Apple generally ships MacBooks with new Intel chips a few months after other manufacturers. This isn’t anything new. They are one of the largest volume shippers of computers over $1000, and Intel hasn’t been able to guarantee sufficient volumes of t…

AppleInsider said: Since the 2017 revision, the 13-inch MacBook Pro line has been a tale of two computers, and the 2020 refresh is no exception. But, there are some interesting "updates" in the new model, that puzzle us, and make us wonder wh…

Apple has been the main user of the 28W chips for a while now. They are mostly spec-bumped versions of the more common “15W” chips (which can really go up to 25W).

I think it is important to point out that the 8th generation chips will still significantly outperform the Air’s chips in CPU-intensive tasks since the Air uses lower power chips that max out around 12W, while the Pros will go up to 25W. That said, …
