According to user reports after a demonstration at a department store in Helsinki, the 'wheel' is surprisingly easy to use. You basically scroll a list of numbers/text and choose the ones accordingly. IMO, it has to have some usage-aiding function t…

You cannot record directly to an iBook because it does not have an audio in port. You need an external soundcard or an iMic, just like imarz recommended. .h

Motorola and Apple? Wtf? Apple's reputation is going doooown... They should've chosen better -> Nokia. Both Apple and Nokia produce well designed and functional products aimed at the more design- and quality conscious consumer. Their co-oper…

A bit off-topic this, but :: [rant] What's the big deal if someone finds traces of pr0n on your computer? Is sex illegal in the US? In Europe, if you were caught watching pr0n, no one would care. Nobody could fire you from your job just because…

I think it is very dissapointing that you cannot convert WMA -> AAC in the Mac version of iTunes. What if a person switches from PC to Mac and wishes to transfer his/her WMA collection to AAC? Apple cannot expect people to know that Mac iTunes ca…

No, they run perfectly on OsX (in Classic mode). Or at least the ones I've tried do(Lemmings, Full Metal Planete, Monkey Island). .h

Tear off the screen? Hello? Who in their right mind would want to buy a laptop with the screen torn off? I don't think there's much you can do with your iBook, Taco. If the screen was working then someone might be willing to buy it but since the…

The US will slowly crumble unless a serious revolution takes place and changes the whole system of government and society. Consumerism is not a self-sustaining way of life to follow, especially for a nation so large as the USA. And an imperialist fo…

GEEZ. Boxer shorts are MUCH better than normal tights. They are not designer fads or overpriced. I've been using boxers since I was 14 and have never noticed any price difference compared to normal tights. Boxers are way more comfortable than tights…

GeForce5200? If I were you, I'd seriously consider changing that asap -> Radeon 9600 or 9800. .h

What's wrong with the disco-era? I'd argue that the end of the 20th century/start of the 21st is the worst period for music, just turn on eMpTyVee to see what I mean .h

833MHz? You mean 800Mhz probably.... Yes, the iBook is very portable indeed... a friend bought a state of the art PC laptop recently and the battery lasts 1.5 hrs max. If you want to plug in the AC, the adapter is the size of a 1 litre milk carto…

I recently bought an iBook through my brother who lives in Texas. He then brought it to me in Finland when he came to visit. The machine cost 1350 euros in the US. If I'd bought it here, I would have had to pay 1750 euros for it. I saved 400 euros. …

Hmmm.. ok. It's just that I've read reports that keeping the computer plugged kills the battery, namely here :: http://www.sixapart.com/log/2003/01/...attery_i.shtml So that's why I'm a bit confused... Are there any official guidelines s…
