It's a shame the card doesn't come with 64mb of memory. This card is probably crippled beyond most gaming use because it only has a measly 32Mb. ATM I have my 9700 mobility 64Mb in my 15" Powerbook overclocked. The GPU has a 15% higher overclock…

Such a random video card and bus speed...

Got bored and took pics of my Powerbook. Altered: Original: TiBook style:

I was going to suggest the Soundsticks II... Great for a student digs... I should know because I am one.

I'd rather have more processors than more clockspeed to be honest. A quad G5 would be very nice and it could do so many things.

I would like to be able to lock and password protect folder from being read or altered in any way. One nice additional feature could be a log that is put in the folder and keeps track of when access has been gained or even attempted. Yeh I know…

Lets go the whole hog. Like iTunes express, except VoIP with video. You get adapters that plug in via scart plugs into any screen, TV, computer etc. Wireless base station has H.264 decoding and encoding chip in it. Take a phone call, have a h…

Your best bet would be to contact the guys over at xlr8yourmac.com. Members of the forum there have done such things with the G5 Radeon 9600 so it should be possible with your 9650.

One problem with the new 7800 is that although it has 24 pixel pipelines they don't help performance as much because they can't all be used at the same time to help increase the fill rate, limiting the performance increase. This is according to my u…

There has been a limited edition GeForce 6600 GT card with two GPUs, but I forget who made it. Benchmarks of the 7800 aren't as fantastic as some would have you to believe. The card is only on average only 13% faster in games (running at 1600x12…

I've just been trumped.

CPU Accelerator may be what you're looking for (closest I can think of anyway). It may help, although people have said it doesn't help with games (although I have not verified this myself). Let me know if its of any benefit.

It is the end of an era, and has come of a shock (seeing as the next gen consoles have all shifted to PowerPC Processors). However, Apple is moving to Intel next year, perhaps the chips used won't be Pentium 4s. Lets face it, the P4 seems to be dyin…

All these whiners about the fact that "IBM makes a 3.2Ghz chip for the new consoles". Do you know why? The chips for the next gen consoles are simpler in design than G5 is. That means that it is easier for the clock speeds to go up. The console …

Does that have any performance hit??

A very nice idea. However, it is probably more likely that these features would find there way into future iPods. I like the idea. Have a mac that manages everything somewhere else. You have your speakers set up (perhaps on Airport Express) and…

Are you just trying to up your post count or do you not know about the existence of the button?

No no no. Apple will not use any desktop x86 processors from Intel. It will not happen. Seesh, one little report of a meeting and everyone goes nuts.
