Shame indeed. I still adore mine. Wonderful, wonderful little machine.

EXCELLENT! That worked brilliantly. Now, too bad this phone has a joystick. Ugh.

My pairing?

Bloody glad, still, that I bought my meron MBP when I did. I needed it, it's been fantastic, and I couldn't have held off forever. As nice as OLED backlighting, 45nm chipsets, quad-core and a new enclosure would be, I needed a laptop in and of itsel…

I just took the game back today. Best Buy took it back, even though it was a game, since their security tag was covering the fine print on the graphics card requirements. :-D

This is somewhat surprising to me. Not that I don't know Apple's Pro lines have always ran hot, but that my C2D, even under enormous stress, doesn't become anything more than very warm.

I just wanted to point out that, and please correct me if I'm wrong, that the PS3 has a slot-loading drive. I figure Sony might've gone this route to keep UMDs out, but I'm not sure if I'd witnessed that or not. Seemed like an odd choice to me. …

I'm so damn happy that I'm not experiencing any of these problems. The only trouble I've had so far has been with a sliiiightly squeaky space bar key. /whew

/shrug. It's really less about "What's new" and, much like with all sequels of great games, just an interest to experience new challenges in that style. Simply put, I want more Splinter Cell. Way more.

It's still a rather impressive looking game.. well, screenshotted, of course. I really do want to try it out. Pity.

Well, X1600's aren't awful, but they aren't for gaming. It works beautifully for every other game I've tried. DA is evidently just HIGHLY demanding.
-
That's pretty absurd. I guess I'll plead ignorance and salesperson incompetence and try taking it back.
-
No, as a matter of fact, the X1600 mobile isn't supported. Only the regular version is - It indicates the mobile card "may work," but that's all.
-
Seems so. It was pretty absurd. Those lowest graphics settings I mentioned? Appeared sub-PS2 in appearance.

After roughly a week with mine, I have to say I'm still absolutely in love. The machine is gorgeous, surprisingly portable, and simply exceptional in everything I've asked it to do. One question, though - after creating an XP partition, is there …

Finally got mine as well. Mine's a standard 15" with a glossy screen and HOLY FUDSJ is it gorgeous. To say I'm totally and utterly in love would be a HUGE understatement. I've only had one problem so far, but that's likely the fault of my au…

There's a for-Mac Logitech keyboard/mouse set that would fit that description perfectly. It's USB, mind you, but wireless with a tiiiiiiny hub that would be just fine for a laptop.
-
Beautiful. What're the excuses to get a PC again? (A good excuse for being ignorant?)

Turns out mine's here Monday after all - but it's in Canada now, at least. I called and complained about being mislead as to the ship time I was paying for and got 10 dollars off, nicely. God this wait is awful.
