The interface screenshots look like space-holders. Like if the real color interface is yet to come.

What are the player's dimensions? I wonder how much larger and heavier it is than the iPod? No doubt it will be a real clunker. Those pictures don't reveal its true girth.

Apple is very clever with the cheap $999 iMac. It has a slower processor, less RAM, no bluetooth, no Superdrive, no remote and an Intel GMA graphics card. The next iMac up (for $1199) includes all that. Is anyone actually going to buy the crippled $…

I think that Apple will do what they should have done in the first place and get rid of Aperture vaults completely. An iPhoto like folder system is better for everyone: Time Machine backups, Spotlight indexing and image corruption recovery.

Quite the contrary: I thought is was an excellent preview. Time Machine: best backup mechanism I've seen anywhere. Spaces: best implementation of Virtual Desktops I've seen (and I've tried a lot of really horrible virtual desktop clients) 64-b…

This makes a lot of sense. When Microsoft finally decides on a final release date for Vista Apple will release Leopard a few weeks before and steal Vista's thunder. Far better to delay Leopard until just the right moment when it cause the most damag…

I think the quesiton has been answered quite well. Sony spent lots of money making the SZ really, really light and Apple spent lots of brain power making the MacBook really rugged and kept the price extremely reasonable. The extra pound is certainly…

I'm wondering what took them so long. This is basically the same computer as the 15.4" in a bigger case. No big deal, really.

How about this as a Photoshop replacement to tie us over until next year: GIMPshop http://plasticbugs.com/?page_id=294 It has a Photoshop-like interface and plenty of power. However, I'm kind of worried since it runs under X11 not Aqua.

What I'm wondering is if they will change the case material. Plastic may be a bit heavy (and old fashion). White colored aluminum? Carbon fiber? Magnesium alloy?

Sound to me like Ed Zander got angry (again ) and blew his top when Steve Jobs screwed him by making the Nano so much better than the Rockr. Zander now (in a rage ) gets rid of the only feature that made the original Rockr worth having in the firs…

If they are actually as light as this article suggests (and I'm not getting my hopes up) I'm definitely getting on. Oh yeah!

I'm very happy that Apple has such strict guidelines for system acoustic. All PC makers should learn from this. For me the difference from going from a Gateway tower PC to a Mac mini was like going from an airplane takeoff into a Buddhist garden.

I also used to have an Epson and it was horrible. Jamming all the time. I'm now only buying Canon ink jet printers. They are really good these days. Check out the Canon Pixma IP4000 or IP5000. Nice minimal square case, too. However, beware, t…
