Our MacBook Air M2 (2022) doesn't see the 13.6.2 update either, only 14.1.1.This does indeed feel odd, particularly since Apple says that 13.6.2 is "recommended for all users" and since 13.6.2 is listed as having (unspecified) security fixes.

Actually, I have looked at SlpashID and I definitely don't like it. It doesn't use the standard MacOS document paradigm. Instead it implements its own multi-user/multi-database system which is not consistent with the Mac OS document model.

Funny that you mentioned 1Password. One of the reasons that I won't use it is because its file format does NOT encrypt everything. It leaves the title of each entry in plaintext. But, even if I had the source code for an app, I don't have the p…

Adobe could kill-off MacOS X on the desktop if it wanted to. If they stopped distributing Flash Player for MacOS X the platform would likely suffer a serious decline in usage as mainstream users became unable to use large parts of the web...

This sucks. They included previously unpatched security fixes in this release in addition to the anti-phishing feature. Apple needs to release a standalone Security Update for the security fixes. So, anyone who chooses to skip this update wil…
