I'm guessing the battery used in the 17" wouldn't easily fit into the 15" and therefore was not used.

I find it amazing that many people are so worried and even paranoid about the scratching on the new iPods. They really don't get scratched. I bought a nano the day it came out, havn't had a case for it, and it still looks perfect. Very few scratc…

I would be extremely surprised if the shuffle got a screen, that's practically what the nano is. There is really no reason for it.

This is really weird. I seem to be the only one that was screwed with this update. I have a 1Ghz 12" iBook with 768MB of RAM. Tiger has always worked great for me with both the .1 and .2 updates. But now with this, it really doesn't work. Syste…

I've installed it on my iBook G4 12" and it works great! A little bit slow, but still works fine. Pictures, Music, and Videos all work fine and I havn't tried DVDs yet.

No, none of the click-wheels are backlit.

Nearly everyone is assuming that the photo-related product will be software. I don't see any mention of it being specifically software. I think photo-related hardware is just about as likely, such as a camera or some other product. I certainly wo…

Yeah, it was right there on the front page.

That's not actually true, I have it in iTunes. I've purchased a couple hundred songs and it shows up right on the front page. I'm assuming that you also have iTunes 6 installed.

Definitely 5th Gen. It looks very different from the 4th gen. and much more like the nano. The large screen also changes it greatly. Also, I might be wrong, but isn't it the next generation of iPod EVERY time they update it? I mean, have the…

I've been using it for a couple of days now and quite like it. Not sure if it's actually better than Safari or Firefox, but I still like it and use it.

I'd guess that there will be an update at MWSF '06. I'm thinking they will atleast upgrade Pages (hopefully) and perhaps add some new spreadsheet program. Keynote 2, I doubt will get an upgrade as it is already quite a nice app and as you said, it…

Although it is not out yet, I want to see Age of Empires 3. That is looking like it will be a great game. I'm not positive they aren't making a version for Mac, but I don't think they are.

Quote: On ARS Technia... Just because it has tech in the title... What was the sample size tested? (2) What was the frequency of the drops? What distance? What points of the Nano hit the ground? What force (magnitude) was applied? Why were a…

I don't know what other people are doing to their nano, but it is just as durable as previous iPods. I have a 4G iPod and a nano. The nano does not scratch any more than the other iPod. I've had the 4G iPod for over a year and, of course, it has …
