Here it comes, My guess is that Apple is going to sever all ties with Samsung as a supplier and chip fab contractor ASAP. I don't know how long it'll take, 9 months or 3 years or what, but Samsung is 2nd to only Google at this point in terms of bein…

I think I'll first test out the new version of itunes on my non-music computer to see if it's workable for my main computer that has my itunes library. My itunes library has a little under 25000 tracks, around 1500 artists, and about 2800 albums, …

Once this is released, if the general public consensus is that it's resolved the battery issues people have been having in 10.8 and 10.8.1, then I'll finally go ahead and upgrade from 10.7.4.

iTunes 10.7 is released today to support the new iOS hardware (new iPhone 5, new nano, new touch) announced today. The newer iTunes with interface changes is due later in late October, and a version # wasn't mentioned for that. I would assume it'll …

I still haven't moved my June 2012 15" MBP (non-retina) to ML 10.8 yet from 10.7.4, but if 10.8.2 gets released and the general public consensus is that it solves the battery issues, I'll probably go ahead and update.

Why does everyone keep saying that Apple's new maps app is inferior to Google's when 99% of you haven't had an opportunity to try the new Apple maps yet?

Here's a possibly dumb question: Is there any way to remove the ability for your Mac to be remotely wiped aside from simply turning off "Find My Mac" from the iCloud prefpane? I'd like to be able to turn off the ability to wipe my Mac withou…

I haven't been having any problems with USB devices including an audio interface and USB HDs on my new mid-2012 15" MBP (non-retina), but I haven't been using anything USB 3.0, only USB 2.0 stuff.

I'm pretty excited to upgrade. I'll be moving from my mid-2007 15" MBP with a 2.4GHz dual-core C2D to the top-end non-retina 15" MBP with a 2.6GHz quad-core i7. $250 more to bump the 2.6GHz to 2.7GHz certainly does not seem worth it. I have my pen…

Man, I am so sick of these endless patent-related legal actions both originating from, and going against, Apple. I don't know the details of this particular one, but the vast majority of them seem to center around thiings that seem like they shoul…

I think some people are misreading the article. The Matrox device pictured has a DVI port, while the Belkin device will have a HDMI port. I think some people misread that and were wondering why the picture of the Matrox device doesn't show a HDMI …

As long as it fits ok in my pocket, a larger sceen would be fine with me. How big could it be and still fit in my pocket ok? Hard to say, I'd honestly have to feel one in my hand before deciding. Even it were a little too big, it'd still probably …

Are you sure eTrade's site uses Java? I thought it just used Javascript, which isn't really affected by all this Java malware and Java bug exploit stuff. I don't use eTrade currently, but as of about a year or so ago, its site only used Javascript i…

I have no sympathy for the ad people in this case. Just because it will affect their bottom line doesn't mean that we consumers have to be ok with the practice. Screw 'em. If ad revenues go down and more apps have to charge 0.99 or 1.99 instead of…

What about older OS X versions? Are pre-10.6 & 10.7 systems that have java installed equally vulnerable to this trojan? I'd like to check my sister's old powerbok g4 that's running OS X 10.5, but this tool says it's specifically for 10.7 only, a…
