Unless you're taking a private charter flight I'd expect those crazy expensive tags to go missing. Better make sure you're there when the bags come off the baggage carousel, if they haven't been shipped in transit. Carry-on should fair OK but then w…

It appears we'll be waiting a bit longer for the M1x. It seems like this may just be another processor swap like they did with the MacMini, MBA and MBP. Makes sense, this machines sell in the greatest volumes, so I'm expecting MacMini performance an…

What would be really great is if the results only contained Apps that will run on that version of the OS, to include App versions for older OSs that are still supported.

Getting desperate as the iPhone eats into Android.

This is good news.

This seems incomplete. Two models is a very narrow range. Does that mean each will come with only one RAM configuration? 21" 16GB and 27" 32GB? Or will it just again be 16GB all the way around?

I would expect the low-end models to have the M1 chip and the higher end models the M1x, so this is confusing, unless all the iMac models will only have one chip.

I remember when Apple went was the first to go all USB-A and everyone bitched and moaned. It was obviously the right move then, just as going USB-C is now. The difference is that USB-C is the port that does it all.

The explains why they repaired my 7-year old Mac for free. The replaced the screen and the battery and I didn’t even mention it.

That's great because sometimes I have people who won't update thinking it will slow their system down, which usually isn't the case.

I hope this addresses the USB speed issue.

This is why Apple keeps moving towards removing mechanical buttons and ports. Without those things the iPhone would be waterproof and eventually Star Trek level drop proof.

The M1 has generally been a smooth experience. It is better than my 2020 Intel MBP 13" 32GB for sure. Same speed or better, plus it runs silent and cool. Now that a lot of these native apps are coming through, the CPU, memory and swap memory usage …

The update didn't fix the widespread Thunderbolt/USB speed issues that people are having when either attaching SSD's directly to an M1 Mac or through a Thunderbolt 4 or Thunderbolt 3 dock. What a mess. My OWC TB4 dock get 150 MB/s vs my TB3 dock whi…
