Never bought AC+ (or for that matter any extended warranty) and never regretted it. I'll take the risk and self insure. So far I'm $1000s ahead. But, as an Apple stockholder, yes, by all means, please buy AC+.

My son's high school in Palo Alto gave each student a chromebook. Unless the iPad comes with a cover and keyboard, I think I'd rather go with the chromebook.
