I have seen this happen before do a check and see how big the database file is. It maybe still there and or have been deleted from the database file. I got lucky the last time it happened it was all still there.

There are third party wireless network cards that will fit into the power mac G4's and these will be usable on the network you have without any problems.

I have noticed that if posts suddenly go missing from the apple forum they are behind it and are aware of the problems they have caused. I wouldn't be surprized if there is a fix sometime very soon from apple.

Carbon Copy Cloner 3 is still in beta and this may not be working correctly as yet. Try an earlier version of the app as they do make bootable copies.

If it is out of warranty and not cover by applecare it will be a paod replacement as there are no extension programs for it from apple. I did a check to see if there where any. You may get lucky as it being a fault they may replace it free.

There is an app called iGlasses which allows changing of settings and has some really great features which may come in handy. It is shareware but well worth the money. It can the found at Versiontracker or Macupdate.

Do you have any Unsanity Haxies installed at all? These can at times causes problems. Also can you post some more of the Panic log it may show something that could lead to the cure.

A clean install will work much better and many less hassles. I suggest backing up all your data and erase and install 10.4 and run all updates and all will be much better.

Goto safari preferences and uncheck Open "safe" files after downloading files will no longer unzip/unstuff.

You could try open Activity viewer in HD/Aplications/Utilities and see what is taking the most processor time. Do you have any antivirus software installed? Any third party system addons/haxies?
