I can understand how a satellite is strong enough to send a signal down to earth that cell phones can receive. That would include receiving data. But how is a cell phone able to generate enough energy for a signal all the way back to a satellite? …

What the article doesn’t answer and everybody’s speculating about is whether it was bad management that led to this or the actual chip crisis that was unpredictable enough for this to be unavoidable. It will be interesting to see if other car manufa…

This may be a stupid question, but I actually don’t see it: how do they make anywhere close the money the iOS App made if it’s free?

Mechanically moving parts? In 2022? Water resistance would go out the window. And reliability. Unless it’s all done inside the lens. I believe a high mega pixel count that allows extreme cropping (zoom effect) is more likely.

What confuses me about this is that Apple‘s marketing for the M1 Ultra seems to indicate that all the performance benefits of the chip come straight from the hardware (and possibly the operating system). So how does optimizing software lead to bett…

We were spared for a few months, but apparently we’re back on the retro keyboard bandwagon…

I tend to agree with the "rip-off" comments on this one. I would expect a 1500 dollar monitor to be hight-adjustable... I don't' see any specs that hint at a revolutionary display. Unlike the XDR it sure seems to be a re-packaged panel, with g…

To me that mix sounds… terrible in Atmos. It’s very harsh, metallic, not balanced at all. Turn on/off Spatial to compare to Stereo. Curious to hear what you guys think.

I’m a huge Apple fan, I’ve been using nothing else since I grew up and would never trade my MacBook Pro for a Windows machine, or my iPhone for an android device. But on some level I am wondering if the companies should become that large and insanel…

Graphics is the only real differentiator between the M series and Pro and Max variants. They are going to keep it that way. There’s not much else they can do to differentiate.

This would be an interesting product if it offered sound cancellation

Ok, I get the bragging rights… but all these phones are blazingly fast. I have a 12 Pro and I never found myself wishing for a faster processor. However, I sure wish I had more than a 12 MP camera, good as it may be.
