Do you want to sell create cool stuff for the rest of your life, or do you want to destroy teen mental health and create a dystopian world? - Mark Z.

Apple seems to be already running into the same problems as they had with Intel chips. Performance between gen 1 and 4 should be way higher. Guessing they probably want to make the R&D money back with incremental updates and upgrade pricing, whi…

Curious what tradeoffs will be made. Most of the 'cost' is in the profit on the base and upgrades like RAM. Does this need to compete with Chromebooks?

This is so weirdly un-Apple. Was this a marketing thing? Why would someone be so stupid as to touch this major piece of branding and identity in the first place? There is no logical reason for this, except extreme lack of direction and quality contr…

Really hoping the design will be massively improved in the release. So many UI items are extremely hard to read or figure out.

Sounds like an extremely unlikely culture fit, given that Perplexity believes in ad-supported everything.

The dumbest thing for Apple would be to introduce a chat-bot, it's not a great interface for AI.

Some results from my M1 Max, 10 CPU / 32 GPU, 64GB: Steel Nomad - 1754 Solar Bay - 22008 Wild Life Extreme - 17910 Even with the M4 Max, Apple still has long way to go.

Sorry Docker?? This looks to be compatible with Docker workflows so this might actually get some developers back to the platform.
