I don't have any actual proof of this, but it seems that DivX decoding doesn't take quite as much processor power. I just downloaded the new codec and watched a couple HD trailers in full screen with no problems on my 1.67 G4 PB. HD movies in H.26…

I personally haven't had any problems with Flip4Mac. It's really nice how it just automatically integrates with QT with no effort. Once it's installed everything works perfectly, although I did have some problems with the safari plug-in at first.

Yes, I believe they upgraded to the 1.42 in sometime mid-summer. The 12-inch still ships with the 1.33.

Yes, that's a very good deal. I'd go for it if that's what you want. Keep in mind that with the new Mactels there is supposedly a 13.3 widescreen iBook coming out, that I would guess will be right in that price range (with student discount). This m…

Well, I haven't owned the exact player you're looking at, but I have owned a Creative MP3 player in the past (only 64MB) and only used it a couple times because it was such a PITA to get any music on it, even on a PC. The software that came bundled …

The shortcuts is the dock don't have the arrow in the corner though, unless it was put there from a shortcut. And it's called alias not shortcut in OS X
-
Well, the cmd arrow is supposed to skip, and cmd-opt-arrow is supposed to ffwd. Make sure you don't have your option key as a shortcut to something else (expose), or make sure it works. other than that I have no idea why it wouldn't work

just a quick tip, make sure you have the correct kind of security selected, internet connect defaults to WEP PASSWORD but most will use the WEP 40/128-bit ASCII security (five letters only). If you have the wrong security selected, even if you type …
