"Percentages for regions: Americas -0.5%, Europe +9.5%, Greater China -7.5%, Japan -5.9%, rest of Asia-Pacific +7.5%" That's the big positive news to me... Europe up nearly 10 percent. I wonder if that is due chiefly to Huawei woes. Doesnt seem l…

Quite tempting! Still waiting for that spray gun option to paint my house.

"A mature cyclical company". Haha, like Ford and Caterpillar? Is Rod Hall auditioning for stand up now?

Iphone at the price of a watch. Should help push wearables sales too. FWIW one survey I saw put SE at 12 percent of desired model of iPhone purchase in US. That surprised me. It's hardly niche, especially considering ex US.

While perhaps off topic, the recent documentary General Magic (a failed company integral to Apple) is compelling. It mixes vintage 90s footage with c2018 interviews. You see Sculley in a new light. Also Hertzfeld, Fadell, and other Apple and tech pl…

Glad to see more analysts using blended multiples to recognize services and wearables. I believe Nike latest quarter report said online sales offset store closures. Might happen with Apple. Due to Covid 19 effect, I upgraded home office with new iMa…

You can safely bet Apple has successors in mind. Cheaper iphone is gateway to $$$ in services, watches, AirPods etc. Not just in US, but in India, China, Brasil, and more of Europe. New devices like AR glasses won't change that.... until 2035 perhap…

Dark Sky solicits user crowd sourced data, at least in the US east coast city I live in. Not sure if or how they use it.

So if you call it 9, what will its successors be in following years? 9.1, 9.2? Doubt it. It's actually interesting little puzzle.

If Dark Sky app always had perfect data, I'd use it exclusively, but yes it is my favorite weather apps. Maybe Apple can improve it so it can be my sole daily weather app. It gives granular snapshots to spinning globe views. It's probably compellin…

Great service article. Hard to believe Jstor is open to all! (Was a Univ. Michigan project around Larry Page's time there.) FWIW some apps not free but heavily discounted now. Uberchord, highly rated app from Germany for guitar, is in that category.…

I'd expect better options as to granularity from Apple. Do I really want Goldman Sacks building database knowing what books, music, movies I buy or rent? And who knows how that is shared in 20 years? From what I see on my Amazon Prime credit card st…

Yes, what surprised me that on paper I wasn't really expecting much difference exchanging my Series 3 for a Series 5. But the new faces and "always on" display make a huge difference, especially with something attached the whole day. With the AirPod…

Poor Tripp slips again. You'd think he was covering Banana rather than Apple.

Glad ApInsider taking on this topic. Frankly, this scares me (as someone deeply invested in ecosystem and as stockholder) more than any big tech rival or government regulation or tech trend. We are captives, trusting Apple to make right choices and …

"Harold, I'm afraid you might die. That 613 kg moose surprised even me."

I feel so retro when I have to pull out a card.

Guy went in Applestore to check out new watchbands and wound up with pro XDR screen. Giddy up, stock rider!

I like Apple's verification still offered by Privacy/Location coded arrows. Wish there was something analogous in apps for Privacy/Microphone. I have perhaps a half dozen apps that I give microphone access via the binary toggle.

Not raising his price target, which Apple has already reached, is his way of signaling "Wait to buy more shares after so steep a run up."
