If you're going to specify the size in the headline, please also specify the correct processor. There is no M4 16" MacBook Pro. There is either an M4 Pro or and M4 Max, and the deal you highlighted in the headline is for an M4 Max model.

I seem to remember someone offering a program that "poisons" image data in a way that is undetectable by the human eye, but makes it not only useless for AI training but actually harmful to any AI model trained using the photo. This is a great way t…

The answer is always dependent on whether you would have subscribed to all of the individual components of each plan. For me, only increased iCloud storage space is worth it. I've had Apple TV+ when it came with my devices for free, but it's not wor…

I'd love it if we had a system where police received bonuses proportionate to the value of the stolen property they help recover. Might incentivise (using the British spelling seems appropriate here) them to be a lot more helpful!

Apple is unequivocally in the right, here. They are not required in any way to allow Epic to benefit from their actions in bad faith, and Sweeney is trying the same thing again by making further misleading statements to try to gain sympathy from the…

Apple has clarified that Epic's submission contained releases in the US and worldwide, and that it won't be allowed until they remove the US part, where they are rightly banned and the courts have stated Apple has no obligation to let them back onto…

This demonstrates part of why Apple switched to MagSafe on their laptops. If the MM had a built-in battery, it might make some sense to enable power via something more easily disconnected, but I doubt Apple would ever see the need to add one to a de…

Well, I guess they don't care about it looking good anymore, it's like the 2026 Outback of phones. They don't even seem to be making any use of the extra space under that ridiculous camera bar. They could at least put extra battery or other componen…

Yikes, these are expensive! I've always thought it would be nice to replace our OWC ThunderBay 8 with something that can handle NAS duty instead of being a DAS that we share using my wife's Mac Studio, but we could easily spend more than the Studio …

Shouldn't be this weird, but I don't really want to use the Mac App Store anyway so I'm kind of happy they are making it difficult. On a computer, I want maximum freedom to install apps and store all my files wherever I want - that's sort of the poi…

Do we not know how many more P and E cores are in the 16-core M4 Max? Twice in the article you just stated that the 16-core version offers "more power" without specifying that it has 2 more P cores, for a total of 12. Seemed like an odd omission, si…

The title of the article is misleading. Apple (for now) still sells the 2 or 3 year AC+ plans, just not in their physical stores. This likely won't impact anyone savvy enough to care - we aren't paying the highest possible prices by buying new direc…

I remember thinking the iPod was too expensive when it came out. My best friend had a Musicmatch Jukebox, and it had 20GB of storage instead of the 5GB of an iPod. It used 6 AA batteries, and was sort of like a thick portable CD player. Then I went …

Re: the lack of WiFi 7, does anyone know if that's somewhat baked in with the M4? The iPP with M4 doesn't have it, right? They may be limited by the CPU design.

There is an error in the article. It states that the 14" MBP comes in M4 and M4 Pro variants. No mention of the M4 Max 14" MBP, so I did a quick double check and Apple does indeed still offer the Max chip in the 14" model.
