  • One of these three Apple executives will probably be Tim Cook's replacement

    No bias there.
I'd call it a good reputation, that's my bias. If you want your industry to stagnate, unions are the way. You'll fall behind especially quickly in tech.

  • Is the Apple One subscription worth it in 2025?

The answer is always dependent on whether you would have subscribed to all of the individual components of each plan. For me, only increased iCloud storage space is worth it. I've had Apple TV+ when it came with my devices for free, but it's not worth the cost to stay subscribed all the time. No interest in the other services, so Apple One doesn't make sense for me.

  • Hands on with all four iPhone 17 dummy models

Well, I guess they don't care about it looking good anymore, it's like the 2026 Outback of phones. They don't even seem to be making any use of the extra space under that ridiculous camera bar. They could at least put extra battery or other components in there. What I really want is a return of the flush lenses, like we had with the 5S and before. If that means we have to make the end of the phone thicker, that's fine with me!

  • How to install App Store apps on an external SSD

Shouldn't be this weird, but I don't really want to use the Mac App Store anyway so I'm kind of happy they are making it difficult. On a computer, I want maximum freedom to install apps and store all my files wherever I want - that's sort of the point of desktop computers with a file system.

  • EU will force Apple to totally expose its iPhone features to all who ask

I live in the UK and support Apple in this. They should pull out of the eurozone market, to hell with whatever financial loss that incurs. And people wonder why we voted for Brexit!?
Right you are! I totally understood Brexit and never heard an argument against it that made any sense. The EU is a cancer, like all bureaucracies, and it's metastasizing at a rate proportional to its behemoth size. I hold Apple stock, but I don't care if it takes a beating - they should pull out of the EU until these stupid demands cease. Hardball is the game they want to play, then so be it.
