Reminiscent of the Psion 5mx which had more or less this exact construction. The Psion 3a was also similar but had a short cut key bar that would appear between keyboard and screen (itself a very smart design).

Amazing how we had to use a floppy disk to install a CDROM driver in order to use a CDROM. Happy times (in a way). I didn't have a Mac in the early days - started with DOS. It's fun to see this. Thanks for sharing.
