People still put phones in their back pockets, so the thinner it is, the likely to bent or break

Apple needs to find a way to get satellite emergency messaging into the Apple Watch. Places that you need satellite (like hiking/ remote areas), you not be able to get to your phone because it was dropped or you can’t reach it.

So if you have an AirTag on your keys and you go on a long trip with your friends, will the notifications get really annoying (to your friends)?

Hum…one of the features is will require passcode with Apple Pay. I use my watch to pay rather than my iPhone because I don’t have authenticate after putting my watch on. That will kind of suck.

Let hope Apple still keeps working on those solid state batteries and not kill of that project.

Masters of the Air is a pretty good series. It’s no Band of Brothers, but definitely crushes The Pacific.

I hope they fix the stand sensitivity. On all the versions of Watches that I have had (2,4,5,7,ultra), it doesn’t pick up stand very well. I have actually walked 100ft a few times and still didn’t think I’m standing. How do can I go 100ft without st…

jdiamond said: Yes, but the large displays you're talking about are LEDs but not micro-LEDs. Micro LEDs have sizes measured in microns. This is Apple - there's no way they'd do it without "Retina resolution". MicroLED on TVs is supposed …

tht said: This is amazing, and speaks to Zuckerberg's absolutely control of Meta. That operating loss line continues to scale with the revenue line. This implies that if Meta sells more Quest units, they will have more operating losses. IOW, fo…

I will be amazed if they get MicroLED in the Apple Watch. Every time I have seen a prototype TVs at CES with MicroLED, it looks fantastic far away, but if you get really close (like a foot from the screen), you can see the gaps in the pixels (the ol…

Seems like it will be like the Minority Report interface which would be really cool and game changing.

I still to this day don’t have a fond view on Mac beginnings. It fractured Apple and killed off the Apple II line. That was “the computer for the rest of us”. The II line had a big install base in schools and homes and Apple wanted people to start o…

How many new Apple Watch 9 and ultra 2 users not going to upgrade to this for fear of losing their blood oxygen detection feature?

Apple-a-day said: Not weird at all. Almost every retail store in Japan has New Year’s sales or promotions. As in calendar New Year, the first few days of January. Lunar new year has nothing to do with it. Perhaps you are confusing it with Chine…

I find it weird that Apple always have these special Japanese New Year branded devices. Japan gave up celebrating the Lunar New Year 150 years ago because they wanted to be modern. They are the only Asian (non-Indian) country to not celebrate the Lu…

I think I saw a bug in 17.2 which I hope this fixes. I couldn’t find my group chat with my sisters and mom, so I created a new one to ask a question. It then included one of softball teammates. He saw all these messages and he was like this is nice …

I can see this being useful on the Apple Watch Ultra because one of Ultra major selling points is for diving. Watch your diving levels and shine a light while you’re at it.

And Beats still get no updates….

Odd that AppleInsider keeps bring up that Apple won’t buy Disney but also keeps post that Apple should buy ESPN. ESPN is owned by Disney. Sure, Apple can just buy that piece, but you can see why people think they should buy the whole thing.

I clean my Apple Watch, Bands, and Beats Pro every time I am done at the gym. My gym provides disinfecting wipes there to clean the equipment, so I used that on my apple stuff.
