Gimme a folder, it’s the one feature that’s missing for Apple-For someone who walks and rides bikes a lot it is the form factor I desire most. Hurry up Apple, not getting any younger😉
I'm a cyclist too and the last thing I want is to have to keep unfolding my phone during a ride to check a map or my Strava stats.
If you have not seen the video of a Chinese phone that surprised NVIDIA CEO, Jensen Huang, at this year’s CES (last month), watch the link below. The phone folded is as thin as a regular iPhone. It a 3 panel phone, which 2 of its panels are on the inside and 1 is on the outside, so you wouldn’t have to unfold on your bike ride.

At first, I didn’t see a purpose for a foldable phone, but after seeing that video, I kind of want one. I almost never watched video on my phone when exercising on Stairmaster or treadmill, but started to this year just watching my favorite MLB team (they have good the last 2 years) or college basketball team. A foldable phone would be great for view games since they are not broadcasted on the limited channels at my gym.

  • New hack breaks open Apple's USB-C security

I’m sure this will be good for police/FBI/DHS/CIA. A way to break into iPhones like GreyKey.

  • Forty years of the Mac, the computer for the rest of us

I still to this day don’t have a fond view on Mac beginnings. It fractured Apple and killed off the Apple II line. That was “the computer for the rest of us”. The II line had a big install base in schools and homes and Apple wanted people to start over? That probably helped out the PC market. I’m even going to dare and say the IIGS was more powerful than the Mac at the time.

  • Man who drove off a cliff is saved by iPhone 14

And what they didn’t tell you is Apple Maps directed him to drive off the cliff……I kid…I kid….

but Apple Maps this weekend did have me drive on a dirt road that just dead ended. I had to drive backwards about 1000ft. The couple that eventually drove up behind me (and I waved them to drive backwards) said that maps guided them that way as well.

  • Apple will launch HomePod with 7-inch screen in 2024, says Kuo

Hope it doesn’t look like that. Hope it is flush in the speaker and that will probably require flexible OLED.
