This is almost identical to what occurred to Microsoft Windows decades ago when they were the dominant monopoly. Regulation forced Microsoft to do all of this. They fought it hard, played all the same tricks all your comments are saying apple and Go…

I pre register each year, always seems to be issues though. 57 minutes and 30+ attempts to go through this morning. The Apple store app absolutely refuses to accept the Apple Card for the upgrade program. Visa worked on the 7th attempt of that card …

My “pre approval, speed through pre order” experience was 57 minutes about 30 retries, and apple kept rejecting the Apple Card about 15+ Attempts. Visa worked on the 7th attempt with that card. Citizen one kept denying my preapproval about 5+ attemp…

Most users mistakenly think it’s simple and easy for merchants to support Apple Pay or NFC payments. Technology is simple. In the USA, almost all merchants contract with a payment vendor. Look at Paymentus (for big companies) or square (small biz) f…

I would like to add to my previous rant, satellite tech can provide indoor coverage. Although most people don’t know that’s possible. They generally dont, because again the cost per bit changes to unprofitable. I’ll spare the technical details, but …

The big industry secret of residential fiber, is that it’s not profitable in The USA. All done using subsidies, and back end Enron level scams going on with Verizon, att and those little carriers and investors who fall for the bad deals. The little…

“You’re holding it wrong” - Steve Jobs. I don’t understand the mask issue. Everyday I unlock my iPhone 12 Pro with a mask on. And it worked with the previous iPhone before that. 20 times a day, every day. Just raise your phone up to eye level so i…

As someone who has lost access to many online and physical disc purchases, the law needs to be updated to protect consumers. Either a refund needs to be issued, a downloadable or physical media must be compulsory or a license transfer that can be b…

I have the latest update beta and it does not fix the issues with battery or gps. . Yes I’m very familiar with apples default response of wipe and load the watch. It’s a gamble of your time if that even works for the specific issues. It’s just a way…

Guess I skipped the release notes, was like, huh, the glitches magically went away. I had the case of idle usage, just sitting there it would glitch under 1% load. Now I know it was a patch. So glad this wasn’t as bad as the 2011 AMD gpu issue. For…

I haven’t played games, but the line glitches appear, under idle conditions. 27” 10core i9, 128gb and 16gb 5700xt. I have not seen the tearing others have. on pc’s I’ve owned this was a spread spectrum/clocking/voltage fix. No idea how to test that …

Just an update. 8tb iMac 27”. Black magic write average 2,955MB/s and read average 2,608MB/s. The black magic raw on the 5700xt 16gb shows 26 FPS on cpu and 55 FPS on gpu.

The article mentions 2666 vs 2933 is unexplained. I’ll take a stab at this. 2933 modules I’ve researched are almost identical in performance to 2666. Take Kingston hyperX 2666 CL16-18-18 vs 2933 CL17-19-19. They are almost identical chips. In fact K…

Fidonet127 said: The max is only 8TB. You still need external drives for more storage and for backing up at any rate. Just hide it behind the imac. I have a four bay OWC thunderbolt drive setup, plus backup drives. You are not going to fit th…

bobolicious said: Another potential benefit of the iMac Pro is a VESA kit however the iMac still is only BTO. Yes, Apple hides the vesa mount option on the regular iMacs. It is available on the new iMac 27” for a $40 up charge. Search “Apple…

It is very short sighted of Apple to eliminate a future source of revenue from overpriced storage upgrades. They included the connector on last years model, and on the iMac pro's. That connector is designed into the board, and costs less than 1 pen…

I just wish this came out 2 days earlier before I placed my order. This is a deal breaker for me. Tomorrow Apple will get a call to cancel my $4,000 computer, they just lost my money. Is there any one who knows for certain that the 4TB ssd model in…

I am called an Apple fanboy by my friends and family, but if I had one gripe it’s the unethical misleading “industry leading battery life” marketing claims. I would pay more for greater energy density in the battery. We should not have to, but I w…

I would have thought Apple would learn from the mistake of locking down the Apple TV 2 & 3 to just a select few apps. Hopefully with WWDC the HomePod gains a full marketplace like the AppleTV4 did.

O2 sensors are complimentary to heart rate. One of the most basic quantitative body awareness tools out there. The question I'd ask, why hasn't apple even applied for clearance? It's not the FDA, Apple doesn't even appear to have an application file…
