Could someone who has the update check and see if, under the "music" menu, the Apple TV supports streaming Internet radio at long last? Much obliged!

I just patched mine with electrical tape after it started to fray (and even shot off a spark or two!). I'm hoping Apple will be willing to replace it gratis (the MBP is still under warranty), since those sparks were, um, not reassuring.

Personally, the touch screen keypad on the iPhone has been a godsend for me--I'm a cancer patient who has experienced significant loss of sensation in my fingertips as a side effect of chemotherapy (it should all come back in approx two years, I'm t…

IIRC, they did the 6pm-on-a-Friday thing for the iPod mini as well. I'm not too happy about it in this case, since I'd planned to camp at the 5th Ave Apple store, buy an iPhone when they went on sale in the morning and then take an afternoon train t…

Well, I picked up an Apple TV today at the Apple Store figuring I could return it within two weeks for a refund if it didn't do what I wanted...and lo and behold it pretty much does what I want it to. Yeah, the computer needs to be running for Apple…

Since the new Airport has the same footprint as a Mac Mini, it ought to click into the top of LaCie's mini hard drive & hub, which is designed to fit under a mini. Is there a reason why that wouldn't work?

It's easy to take cheap shots at Indian call centers, but the fact of the matter is that almost everybody in India with a halfway decent education speaks excellent English. With so many regional languages and dialects, English is the only way people…

Can I assume the RAM that the MacBooks come with isn't soldered in? Otherwise, everything y'all are saying about getting 2 1GB sticks would be pointless given the 2GB limit. Would DIY RAM installation void the warranty on one of these puppies?

I've been using an Athlon PC with my HDTV via DVI-->HDMI for a few months now with no problems whatsoever, so if it's up to the display I expect I won't have anything to worry about...cool!

As to the possibly fake Apple Store page, is Apple still featuring that Chris Suchorsky story as an RSS headline? I think the story was posted in late April, just before his movie premiered on IFC. It's possible the page was faked then and been on i…

This kind of sucks, since I'm torn between waiting for a Macbook and buying a 17" MacBook Pro--the Macbook specs are really the deciding factor. Amazon has a $150 rebate on 17"ers purchased through the end of day tomorrow, and without the rebate it …

Applecare can still be purchased for a computer anytime within the first year of ownership, correct? Is there any particular reason why it's better to buy it at the time you purchase a computer, or is it perfectly fine to hold off on it for a few mo…

All good points, Messiah, but I don't think you can really blame Apple for rushing the products to market--under the circumstances, they have little other option unless they want to alienate customers by letting the company get outspec'd by Dell, Le…
