If you have $3K to spend on computing, you'd be better off buying a $500 iPad and a $2500 laptop. I don't see how an iPad can possibly be one's only computing device. I dare say virtually all iPad users also have access to another computer.

Does Apple have any plans that aren't secret?

Don't tell anyone, but I heard a rumor that the iPhone 16 will be the best iPhone Apple has ever made.

Dropping the ad? Good. Apologizing for it? Bad.

"Engineers endure 12-hour workdays and often work weekends as well." There's a reason manufacturing of semiconductors and other goods have moved to Asia. There are way more engineers available in Asia; these are needed in large numbers to run a mo…

This is what I like about Apple: They have a track record of not releasing products until they are fully baked and actually work the way you expect, while other companies treat their customers like beta testers. I'll believe AI is real when Apple …

Ternus is being truthful here. To the extent parts are paired, it's for security reasons, preservation of calibration data, or for safety reasons in the case of batteries. Apple makes enough money on the initial phone sale that they don't need to in…

I'll bet my next paycheck these criminals are not native born Canadians. Enjoy your immigration, and remember, diversity is your strength.

This is the administration that Apple voted for. Enjoy.

Another EU money grab. I hope these costs are directly passed along to purchasers of Apple products in Europe.

I've been calling BS on self-driving cars since I first heard about it. Yes, driving can be easy 99.5% of the time; it's the other 0.5% that cameras and computers will never solve on existing roads with human drivers and pedestrians. And "AI" is t…

Reduction in battery health when charged above 80% is not about heat generated. Charging actually slows down above 80%, so the charger generates less heat as the battery fills up. In any LiIon cell there are side reactions that accumulate over tim…

I never could stand Leibowitz and his old show, so I was certainly not going to watch this steaming pile. His ratio of mocking Republicans-to-Democrats was about 10:1. That and his audience of ignorant clapping seals was too much for me. Apple w…

New iPhones don't need to be "compelling" to sell. Fact is, these things wear out after three or so years; Apple has a money printing machine making phones to replace those that wear out. I don't see any company having the scale and ecosystem to dis…

This departure won't have much effect. Key product decisions at Apple are made by large teams of people reviewing reams of data around new technologies being considered for deployment. At some point you accumulate so much wealth that it's not wort…

Coincidentally, I just bought 100 shares of Apple. I don't see anyone challenging their dominance in the phone or computer markets. Creating an ecosystem like Apple's would cost hundreds of billions of dollars; I don't see any company willing and …
