So your argument is "There must be a god because things are the way they are". Sounds like zen to me. Maybe you should try buddhism one of these days...

The thing I'm really curious about : how do creationists deal with other creation myths? I've seen quite a few pseudo-scientific arguments brought forward by creationists to shatter the trust in the theory of evolution, but how do they try to re…

^^So what are these maps supposed to tell us? Last I checked, it was one vote per citizen, not one vote per square mile.

No way. I don't believe it. If MS really stopped selling copies of Windows, everybody would just pirate Win2000 until the cows come home (or the gov would make a Lex Windows, allowing the copying of everything Windows). By then, Linux will hav…

Why do people hate him? He will bring us the visions!

I don't know either. I just know what I was told and I know it's big. It will be the digital hub!

That doesn't disprove anything I said. I did say that we have longer vacations (and probably more holidays as well) than Americans. Do the math. I posted my vacation days per year (28 days; I've been out of university for 2 years now).…

Another thing I want to add : Caspar David Friedrich, Wagner, Thomas Mann and J.W. Goethe are hardly the people that inspire Gothics or satanists. I would rather look for more modern influences like black metal and stuff like that. And I bet for e…

[quote] also, just to let you know, I have read both vollumes of Goethe's Faust (can you say that) as well as its source: the Anonamously authored "UrFaustbuch" as well as Marlow's Doctor Faustus , and, Klaus Mann's Mephisto as well as numerous book…

[quote]The trial has shone an unwelcome spotlight on a sinister, dark side of Germany. The world's third richest economy is also home to an estimated 6,000 hardcore devil worshippers. In the depressed, jobless regions of the former communist east th…

Sorry, but this generalisation strikes me as extraordinarily dumb. The murder case has been all over the media here in Germany, and the reason for that is of course that it was so bizarre. If it had been usual in any way, the echo in the media would…

[quote] Mac OS X and Linux are partners not competitors. ????? *nix operating systems _do_ compete with each other, just like they compete with other operating systems.

The Athlon XP1700 and the P4 1.7 are about equal speed-wise. If all other things (RAM-DDR,SDR,RD???) are equal, get the cheaper one, i.e. the Athlon. One thing : beware of P4 systems with SD-Ram! They're memory starved and slow as molasses.

No, the clones wouldn't have to be that cheap. One of the main problems for the mac platform is the lack of inexpensive towers. If you already have a decent monitor and want a new mac, you're ****ed. You either have to buy an all-in-one solutio…
