Intel deciding not to support Apple Silicon would basically mean that Intel decided to kill Thunderbolt : the reason Thunderbolt still exist is because of Apple. Without Apple, Thunderbolt would have been dead long ago.

People will again blame selling prices, but price is not the problem. Years of stagnation in design and performance are more to blame. While the consumer may not always be right, it often is. Stubbornness with the horrific keyboard design for the la…

The main problem for home automation has long been the lack of a standardised communication protocol. Zigbee is one of the most used, and obviously the one with the most traction, but it has limitations too. So the creation of a standardisation body…

HomeKit has been a failure for quite some time. Happy to see that Apple is finally taking note of this fact. (Note : I'm not saying that HomeKit doesn't work well, but it needs a market presence. And right now, HomeKit-designed devices are scarce…

The Quebec law does not state a duration for, say, battery life. That would be ludicrous considering that some devices are not meant to last as long as others. The law, however, incorporates the concept of “fitness”. That is, that a device must be u…

This is absolutely ludicrous. Apple, the company, was named after the fruit. So they have to accept that other things referring to the fruit will also come with a logo that looks like said fruit. The current German bike route logo looks absolutely n…

Current gimmickiness is no guide to future usefulness. It all depends on usage and on the added value one gets. Currently, I agree, the value proposition isn't there, but I can see how it could be useful to have both an iPad and an iPhone in one dev…

We are sure that there will be a wide variety of uses for the new mini, but perhaps not as wide audience for it as there could be. The price has gone up now to $799 for the entry-level model, an increase of $300 over the previous. As a result,…

As much as I would like it to be otherwise, Volcan’s complaint is real and fully reproducible where I live too. There’s no point in attacking Volcan because he “dares” to note that Apple services are not perfect… because: they clearly aren’t. Also:…
