What I don't get is why people would pay anything for an app like this when the information is already available for free on very functional web sites. I can see how not having a current database could run you into sladerous legal trouble, thoug…

I used to have heaps of problems getting a connection with my 3G iPhone. then i had it replaced (a button broke) and the new handset has never had a problem.

i can't imagine relying on my spotty iPhone connection to do anything so serious that i need a full laptop machine. let alone pay extra for it.

I love Apple, but they were in the wrong here. The argument about whether Flash or Java count as legitimate web content is moot. If you can't support a claim in your ad, don't run the ad. It would have been so easy to word it in a way that didn't sa…

wow. i feel like such a geek for having read all of this, and at the same time am glad i did. sheesh there are a lot of things i don't know. i'm curious how this would effect many of the content delivery networks out there that are paid big buck…

we've been able to preview audio and video files without opening anything for years now if you are viewing your finder in column view. i have too many files to use icon view so i will probably never use this feature.

I just don't think anyone was "tricked" into downloading anything. Users clearly had the option to install or not install. There is no sketchy business practice here.
