  • To answer the #2 questions, If the 2110 is not listed on the compatibility site then it probably wont work. You could try it anyway, but I have never seen a multifunction unit work correctly on a print server of any type. Not to say that it isn't …
  • Nevermind. Figured it out. Not only had the Apple CD/DVD entension been deleted, but a bunch of third party extensions were interfering with it. --PB
  • A new wrinkle, the machine is running OS 9, not OS X. The Eject Key works fine in OS X, but not at all in OS 9. The Volume/Mute keys do work in both. --pb
  • On pretty much every new Logitech Mouse I have used, the scroll wheel is a third button, you just press it down to activate. There should be an option to configure scroll button or something. I'd post a screenshot but I am nowhere near my mouse …
  • Not so much building, more of a gutting and installing situation. --PB
  • Uh, sorry but Not having Panther workable on a G3 would just be silly. Apple's business sense may be clouded, but it isn't non-existant. I would believe however that Panther will be even more G4 optimised than Jaguar already is, but not working …

  • I'd just like to jump back in here and say thanks again all for the info, please keep it coming. Also, I'd just like to add to the brand debate and say that the only brand where I have every had any problems mixing other brands with is Linksys. …
  • Thanks for the info zen! --PB
  • For clarification, I want to know if the Graphite ABS can pick up a wireless network bridge it to an ethernet device (a la this: http://www.dlink.com/products/wireless/dwl810+/ ) I know that the AEBS can do this, but can the ABS? --PB
  • Just for clarification: I am going to buy an AEBS to replace my existing Netgear router and ABS v1 (Graphite). I am also awaiting shipment on a PlayStation2 Network Adapter. I have heard that the ABS/AEBS doesn't route all the right ports/t…
  • will try the cache one next time I am near the machine. I didn't rename the folder that the themes are in, because like I said they are in the App bundle @ iDVD/contents/resources/themename.theme Thanks so far! --PB

  • I grew up using both a Mac (a lab full of classics and plus's at school then an SE/30 at home) and DOS/Win3.1 machines (a 286, a 438, and then a P2 300). I liked them equally (DOS and Mac that is) until Windows 3 hit the streets. "What the heck k…
  • Kingston is more expensive because 1) They have one of, if not the best reputation in the RAM market today and 2) Their RAM is the best. I have never had a bad stick of Kingston RAM ever. As oposed to Azen RAM of which I got three bad sticks in a …
  • You probaby saw a 4x5 Intuos 2, which is a higher end tablet. 2x the lines of resolution and 2x the levels of pressure sensitivity. Graphire2's tablets retail for 149$ CDn so if you saw one for 179$ USD then you saw a rip off. --PB
  • If you go down to your local Apple resellers, they may have old posters that they no longer need and don't have the heart to throw out. You could also check ebay, I sold some Apple Promo material there a few months back, and there was a bunch more …
  • Here is my current desktop. I changes fairly often but I like this one. For a bigger version click
  • While I can see them making iDisk a for-pay feature, I think they would be pretty freaking stupid to make the Mac.com email for-pay for a couple of reasons. one is that you are supposed to use your Mac.com name with iChat, and what good is a pay-…
  • Well, Apple seems to think so. Gigabit Ethernet is standard on PowerMacs and PowerBooks. They are 10/100/1000, so they can run on any network in place right now, and any network that will be in plce for the next several years. --PB
