Now how about releasing a Windows driver as well so I can use my drive with both. It sucks to have to format my external drives as FAT as the lowest common denominator.

So you use iPGP or another non-export restricted algorithm. As far as processing the tasks, ninety-nine percent of emails and documents are really pretty short and it could be set to do it in the background after saving.

I could see FileMaker using MySQL as a backend. I think any word processor could also handle light publishing capabilities if designed correctly for it. I just need some real outlining capabilities...

I've been using a piece of software called Mail Forward, it works pretty well. If you are into the Unix underpinnings, there is a Debian package called gotmail that does the same thing. If anyone knows how to use that, I would love to know as well...
