What we really need is free trials. Why is Apple on against this?

Look what happened when the 1996 telecom bill allowed broadcasters to charge for their carriage. Just this week Dish customers lost CBS due to a pricing dispute. With no net neutrality I can foresee a time when AT&T customers lose access to Go…

But Hiya doesn't help against the latest scourge, "neighbor spoofing", whereby they just use a different random number each time they call, usually using your same area code and prefix, so you figure it must be a neighbor. Checking its validity won'…

Perhaps if Apple will update certain Macs more than once every three or four years, they'll see growth there too.

I have no problem with this. You're required to have a camera so this will show if they really entered your place, and if anything goes wrong I trust them to make good. I trust the delivery drivers more than the local homeless guys who walk around…

I think Apple's move to making original content is a mistake (though for some strange reason, they never asked me), as it reduces their ability to cut deals to carry content from other providers since now they are a competitor, not just a distributo…

What choice did Apple have unless they wanted to be booted and blocked like Google?

I was recently in Norway, Sweden, and Denmark. In Norway and Denmark, almost 100% of terminals use NFC, so I was able to use Apple Pay for most transactions. In Sweden it was more like 30% :-(. In all three countries, using Apple Pay usually resulte…

Like others, I've had this problem for years. iMessage is completely unreliable.

Many places in the U.S. require you to enter your PIN after using your debit card via Apple Pay. This is silly. In Europe, Apple Pay is so fast because no PIN is required.

Thank you Lord, uh I mean Jobs, uh, well, whoever! I refuse to buy my iPhone in Japan because I want to be able to silence my camera "shutter", but I also want to use my phone as my Suica (transit card) and be able to do ApplePay in Japan. This migh…
