Ask Siri the latitude of almost any capital city (Tokyo, Madrid, London, Berlin, etc.) and it fails to answer the request, instead providing general interest knowledge about the city. This is after 8 or 9 years in development and improvement.

The 9.3.6 update for the old iPhone 4s does not seem to want to do an OTA download and install. Just sits with endless download and install message.

Why no PCIe Gen4? The standard has been released for 2 years and Gen5 is coming very soon. From Wiki On November 29, 2011, PCI-SIG preliminarily announced PCI Express 4.0,[51] providing a 16 GT/s bit rate that doubles the bandwidth provided by PCI E…

It's about time Apple made ARD (admin version) free, especially as Apple now recommends it to replace the free BTTM service now withdrawn. ARD has always been seriously overpriced (aka ripoff pricing) at about $74 in the US and £74 in the UK (note …

Mojave also seems to have deprecated Back To My Mac in iCloud settings—perhaps because it has been a real dog on 10.13.x!

UI froze twice in first 20 minutes of use on ATV4. Ugly and hard to navigate—one of the world's richest 1% could not afford to pay top-rank coders for a native ATV application?

Guess I'll have to move to the US then because the iPhone Upgrade Program is not available here!

Apple should lose this fight and lose it hard. Right now I am sitting at a desk with: 1. An MBA2012 that Apple said needed a new logic board—the logic board needed cleaning and connectors reseating, which I did. 2. A MacPro 2008 that needed a new po…

I've been reading about battery breakthroughs for 20 years and they have all been like the Free Beer Tomorrow sign in a pub. (BTW, where is that fuel cell for laptops?)

And FAR too expensive at $399 for three units to cover a house. Apple kit is not cheap but Eerio charges even more.

Release some nVidia 1080 and 1060 cards with macOS efi ROMs at a decent price that work on the Mac Pro platform OOB, and I might give nVidia the time of day. Until then, not interested.

macOSx and iOS have fairy large external seed and public beta test teams who do report hundreds of bugs during the OS development cycle. Even so a few bugs still get through, which is the nature of software. tvOS and watchOS have no such external se…

Four words from the TC screen "Starting in the US" Expect to wait 2 or 3 years before this appears in Asia if it ever does, making it a fairly useless announcement for MOST of Apple's customers.

At last. Just a tiny correction though—there is no JR Tokyo. The correct abbreviated name is JR East. It is one of many regional operators in east Japan.

Laurene Powell-Jobs set a nice gifting example for these C-level execs to follow last month and perhaps some might take the hint. They are already rich beyond the dreams of Croesus but when has tens of millions ever been enough for Silicon Valley "e…

Or perhaps he could tell Apple Japan to switch on transit directions for Kyoto, Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo in Apple Maps so he doesn't get lost on the subway.
