I think the first question is "do you have anything you don't like with your 1st-gen Touch?". I'll say wait for another revision if you already have upgraded to the 2.x OS. The new one is sleeker and has an external speaker, but is not that differen…

Yeah, I hate this too, but no choice.

Will SugarCRM be a choice? It's a webapp so it'll run fine on a Mac. Don't know too much about CRM. Just ignore me if it doesn't serve what you need.

Paintbrush (http://paintbrush.sourceforge.net/) or Seashore (http://seashore.sourceforge.net/) will probably does the job for you. If you do use Windows, you might want to look at an application called "Paint.NET".

I really don't think Windows 7 is going to pose any threat on Apple. No matter how much Microsoft does to improve Windows, it's still Windows NT at the core of the OS. It doesn't do UNIX stuffs and will always have 3rd-party driver issues. A…

I'll say the new one is better if budget is never a problem. The reason is the new MBPs doesn't only have new graphics chips, but also newer CPUs with faster FSB and faster memories. In general, a higher-clocked CPU with a faster FSB and memories…

I think you don't need to quit an app on an iPod Touch. Just press the home button to go back to the home screen when you don't have anymore to do with your app. Why do you specifically want to stop a song/video? I own an iPod Touch too and it do…

Did the file size of your old mail files changed? I mean did you accidentally overwrite your backup files? And how do you know that the emails had all gone? Is the way that you restored your mail last time no longer work anymore? If you have …

If you're talking about Safari on a Mac, a free app by Yahoo called Inquisitor (http://www.inquisitorx.com/safari/index_en.php) can help you do so. It adds instant search to Safari and allow you to choose between at least Google and Yahoo. You can a…

I'll say don't wait for MacWorld this time, because Steve is not going to be there, which means they're very likely not going to make some big new announcements.

Can't think of anything other than using the Album Arts to turn the songs into videos...

Resetting Safari (Safari -> Reset Safari, from menu bar) might help in this case, because the updated browser may be confused with old caches. Note: you'll need to login again to all other services after resetting Safari. Wish you good luck.

I had the same issue with kernel_task on my Macbook whenever my Wakoopa Tracker have troubles with Dreamweaver. Probably not quite useful information but I'll leave it for your reference.

EIZO makes monitors that have the truest colors AFAIK, despite being a little bit expensive though. I've been using LG panels to do web design for more than half a year now, not too bad from my own experience, basically loyal to colors when switc…

I would recommend getting a good SSD instead of a traditional HDD, if your budget allows it. It's the fastest drive money can buy, and it won't have any vibration issues because there're no moving parts at all. I've been using an SSD-based MacBoo…
