I’d be happier if they enabled more queries to be dealt with on device. I find that my HomePods almost need to warm up first thing in the morning. Almost every time I give it a first instruction, such as “turn on bedroom light” I get a response simi…

Priced where it should have been in the first place. At launch it was too expensive for the "I just want the basic iPad crowd' and not good enough to interest the middle of the range crowd.

M4, that’s an interesting move. Especially considering the M3 isn’t even fully out yet with the Ultra chips (and hopefully the Extreme variant which the Mac Pro desperately needs to justify its existence). Wonder why they’ve jumped so far forwards, …

Apple do themselves no favours whatsoever with their vetting process. Every week you hear stories of dodgy apps, most far worse than this one, slipping through into the App Store. For a company that makes such an insane amount of money every singl…

My iPhone 14 Pro Max is down to 90% battery health. I’ve never charged it more than once in a 24 hour period. I had it on launch day, so 523 days ago. On that basis the claim of 1000 cycles to 80% certainly seems reasonable.

Reminiscent of Steve Balmer’s response to the iPhone introduction. Steve did have valid points, but by the time the 3GS came out those points all but evaporated and it was game over. The Vision Pro is not going to storm the market as a version one…

Long story short the companies that are complaining thought, rather naively, that the DMA would force Apple to lower or remove their fees and remove roadblocks. Apple has no intention of making it easy for companies like this. They’ve made it very …

KidGloves said: Surely this can't be true. In my opinion, the iPad Pro is already far too expensive. Adding a keyboard and matching the 256GB you get with a MacBook is £1748 compared to £1149 MacBook Air. That's £600 more and that doesn't eve…

I wish them luck with their fight. From what I have read, they've a genuine case here and Apple knows it.

If the opportunity is tempting enough the gaming companies will come. In the G3-G5 days the Mac market share was insignificant and the effort needed to port games was great, so very few companies did it. In the Intel days the market share was larg…

Interesting that Apple is letting this run so close to the wire here. I guess they are playing hard arse to get a discounted settlement.
