Is the assumption of this rumour really that Apple cannot walk and chew gum at the same time? They need two years between feature releases to stabilize iOS? After this many decades doing major software, one assumes the are capable of doing both.

It’s disingenuous to say they have 3 flagships this year. They have one and it’s the X. Period. The 8/8+ are now based on their legacy design. They are the SE for 2017, whether anyone wants to admit it or not.
