I imagine that will be appealed. AFIK it was Apple & Lucent that created WiFi in the first place, so I don't know how Moto would have any patents on it... Of course I don't know the whole history of that standard's development.

Good luck with that.

Apple, why even respond? Greenpeace has no credibility. By saying anything in response, you provide them a platform... Just ignore the imbeciles.

Boneheads. There is nothing wrong with burning coal to generate power. It is done extremely clean and safely these days. Coal can help provide energy independence for this country - we have tons of it. I would like to see the number of coal fire…

Most CIOs aren't likely to read this forum, but they still have a bit of learning to do. I'm an IT admin where I work, and I know about the costs of supporting multiple platforms. If some CIOs are claiming it still costs more to put Macs in their en…

Based on those preliminary comments, any bets that the media will spin this as one of "those big evil corporations" are taking advantage of workers, blah, blah, blah stories?... Now if there are working conditions in China that are poor, then wel…

"Proview "refuses to honor" their existing agreement." That's pretty telling, don't you think? I don't think the Chinese govt. or other Chinese companies would appreciate it very much if Apple decided to, or had to, move production of the iPad t…

Unlikely Apple's iTunes system has been hacked, or hacked and not fixed. 99% chance it's just users being lazy with password security. Nothing Apple can do about ID10T errors.

As much as this may sound callous, worker conditions in China are not our problem. Deliver your petitions to Foxconn & the Chinese Govt. You want to effect real change? Stop trying to social engineer everything under the sun, and let Amer…

Give me a break. MacOS has been around for 28 years (sure that was version 1.0, but still). Microsoft Windows has been around for about 20 years (since v3.1 - the first usable version). iOS is still in it's infancy. I was going to say it's jus…

I wouldn't put any stock in that rumor. What nonsense. I expect only an iPad 3 in 2012, and my guess would be some time in July or later.

$299.00? Not likely! I got a good chuckle from that though... Okay, so maybe, just maybe we'll see the iPad 2 for $399 once the iPad 3 ships, but we might be even more likely to see the iPad 2 remain at $499 and the iPad 3 show up at $599 for t…

That'll backfire. It's unrealistic. Imagine if every country in the world demanded local plants/factories be built in order to sell a product there - it's unsustainable, there's just too many countries on the globe to make that work. That's count…

I'm sure iPhone activations are pretty high too, but most likely, in all reality, they're not going to be as high as Android, since they're not matching the sheer volume of devices the numerous Android mfgs are cranking out. Of course Apple shoul…

Apparently Google is the new Microsoft. Obviously, once again they're copying Apple, but now they're taking pages right out of the M$ playbook - "ah, but we'll have one of those in 6 months too!" (Always 6mo - 1yr away.)

It used to be "Redmond, start your photocopiers!" Now it's become "Mountian View and Seoul, start your photocopiers!" It's like two of the bad kids in class copying off the test of the smart kid. Do your own work!

IDC is probably out to lunch. But if Apple wants to ensure iAd's success, they could always offer more enticing terms...
