So some of you say 30 is overkill... for somethings, sure. But why is Apple upgrading the size of the 24" to 27" and not upgrading the 30" at all? or are they? 32" at 16:9 3k? crazy, but that would be awesome.

Yes i'm trolling but not lying. One thing I noticed was that the ethernet and mini display were switched around, but other than that. Do they use the same cables?

Thanks for the motherboard pic: So why wouldn't that motherboard work? it looks the same. but I guess it probably uses different connections or somethng. but if it worked, i could upgrade to the quadd cpu.

Actually, I opened up my iMac the other day, and I removed the CPU, so they aren't soldered in. it uses 478-pin connectivity.

So theres no way to replace the motherboard... even if I just basically took the whole thing apart and replaced everything inside? What is I found the 27" board and put that in... would it fit? Would it work? Bummer... any alternatives? Thanks guys

Try resetting the PRAM. I did it when mine was slowing down, and it seemed to help. While your computer is starting up, press and hold Option, Command, P, and R. Might help, give it a try.
