Like Jimy Fallon said on the Weekend Update: "Users of the iLoo can log in... and log out." Ah, gotta love the potty humor.

I used Spin Doctor with good results concerning converting tape to digi. It was on my old iBook with a Griffin iMic, straight off of the stereo.

Quote: Originally posted by Macvault I have an iBook that does this too. When this occurs try... 1) tickling the brightness buttons on the keyboard. 2) click the power button once and then tickle the birghtness buttons 3) if neither of those…

Oh man, I wish I could get my mother to switch. Her PC is the worst. Some weird off-brand, sloooooooooow, buggy, crashes all the time and Windows just isn't for her. The more I explain to her, the more confused she gets. I brought my Powerbook over …

No dice. Just so you guys understand: It doesn't take a disc in period. The mechanism doesn't take the disc into the machine. If I push it in, it still won't accept it and the machine gives me 7 short little tones (beeping). I called Apple and they …

Yikes. My slot-loading combo-drive already died. Its going to Apple Tuesday and should be back Friday. It took 3 discs, then stopped taking them completely. It makes a beeping noise waking up and 7 beeps when restarted. Kooky. Damnit, I have a paper…

I'm posting this from my Yao-book. It is lovely indeed. Now to spend the next 24 hours throwing all of my junk back onto the hard drive. This is one sweet ride. First thing I noticed? If they could make something on the iBook smaller for the Powerb…

As a skateboarder, I've seen Apples in use for skate video production for years. I also noticed the demo on the 17'' Powerbooks feature a skate video, demonstrating the different types of editing tools in Final Cut and iMovie. It definately caught m…

From "The Missing Manual": If simply restarting the machine doesn't help, detach every shred of gear that didn't come from Apple. Restore these components to the Mac one at a time until you find out which one was causing Mac OS X's bad hair day. …

Thats a kernel panic. As to what is ailing the machine, it could be bad ram, a peripheral it doesn't like, etc. I wish I knew more to tell you, but thats a start I guess.
