  • VF want you to use all their Live! rubbish so you spend more money with them. You should be able to return it and ask for an unbranded one if you get on the phone to someone decent at Vodafone Connect, either that or you'll have to get one SIM free.

  • Solved it! I run Familiar Linux on my PDA (iPaq) and it seems that dhcpd was timing out and taking my connection with it! I don't use DHCP over WiFi for security reasons.
