How would I know what info to use to manually fill in the IP info? It may be a problem with my ISP - I'm having the same problem using the ethernet, and my older iMac is also having the same issue when I use the ethernet connection.

Unfortunately, System Profiler doesn't tell me anything about the Airport card, it just tells me the IP, ethernet address, etc. Am I going to have to physically removed the card to check? I'll do so if the information is on the card. I pinged the…

Well, I got the router number from my tcp/ip control panel and tried pinging it...it says 'network is down.' I pinged the ip number for my G4. It repeated the ip number and said '56 data bytes.' Under that, '10 packets transmitted, 0 packets receive…

Thanks for the reply. I tried that, but it doesn't seem to have changed anything. It'sweird - iTunes just won't accept any videos or TV shows, not ones I bought from iTunes nor simple mp4's downloaded from YouTube.

Thanks. I couldnt boot from the cd, but I made it a target drive by firewiring it to my (older) iMac. I ran disk utility and repaired the hard drive, but upon trying to start it again, the same thing happened. I should have mentioned what started…

Yeah sorry - specs are in my signature, have 512 MB of RAM, 1.33 GHz, using Safari 2.0.3, only getting the color wheel while online.

I was able to hook my iBook up with a friend's via firewire and access my hard drive. I had access to everything and everything seemed to work. It seems like ym friend's iBook can find & access my hard drive, but my iBook cant. Is there anyth…

Thanks Cosmo, I'll try that. It'll be the first time I've even opened iMovie, so it's a good chance to learn.

Thanks dobby. That did the trick. Thanks also MacCrazy.

Thanks, that's what I need. And you're right, it IS a ripoff.

Okay, I think I get it. I appreciate your help, tho you guys have confused me a little too, maybe because I didn't make it clear what I have and don't have. I HAVE a 30G iPod with a USB cable. That is it - that's all that comes with it. I DON'…

I must be more stupid than I thought, as I don't understand your reply. I don't have the 15gb iPod anymore, so I don't have a dock, or firewire-to-dock connector cable. But even if I did, I still don't see how that would be better? I used to be a…

I'll try MacOpener. I should have mentioned that my iMac at home is not online, so I can't email the files. Obviously, I should have just burned the files to a CD, but I didn't have one at home.
