Booo. These pre-recorded presentations are such a bore. They border on patronizing. Even if they are more concise, there's no crowd energy which makes them nearly devoid of life.

Sort of mixed messages when it comes to Apple supporting the tracking of people against their knowledge using AirTags. It's apparently wrong, unless it's right. There should really be some clarity, like, the ability to put your AirTag into "stolen d…

People actually pay for these services? I just don't get it.

I like how the "iOS 17 trigger warnings feature" article has comments disabled. Guess they were worried the article would be triggering?

I seem to recall Steve Balmer making similar faces when the iPhone was released. That ended well for Microsoft.

Would honestly like to see a further breakdown even, but I wonder how much of that number went to in-app purchases of coins, diamonds, tokens or other in-app / game type credit.

These things have been so useful, tempted to buy more of them.

The people who cry "why did you...?" when action IS taken to try and avoid disaster are the same ones who cry "why didn't you...?" when NO action is taken. Since it's not humanly possible to say with 100% certainty how many lives were or weren't sav…

diminishing returns, end of an era which nobody will miss

Wasn't there yesterday, but worked fine today! Imagine a credit card that helps you earn money rather than spend it. Apple seems to have at least given people a good chance of doing just that.

After the Murdoch trial it's clear Apple's already logging far more than is widely known by the average user about what gets tracked on the iPhone (orientation tilt log, accelerator log to see when it was picked up or put down, etc...Google "iphone …

So the "non-monopoly" Apple wants to have a monopoly on tech access in the area? That's not exactly called fair competition.

Headline vs Article Question:Headline: "M2 Pro model has just gotten more powerful" Article: Maybe I just didn't read carefully enough, but I can't find where it plainly states what has changed, and when.

RE: "How to make archive copies of your iCloud content" (comments disabled over there) The number of steps required to back up everything from iCloud is just ridiculous, as demonstrated by the article. This process really needs to be streamlined.

We're lucky to live in an age where this is possible. I remember having a security scanner guy at the airport steal my watch once. Realizing it was missing I came back for it just 2 minutes later. He clearly had it in his hand, but when I told him i…

I really don't see how an AI app is any different than the Google app. Any app which allows access to "search what cannot be known ahead of time" is by nature risky. Seems like an overreaction just because of the amount of attention ChatGPT in parti…

This sounds so typically Microsoft, what should be a simple feature followed by a long list of caveats or things that don't work like you'd expect.

Even without the beta, my "grey thumbnail" library suddenly started functioning correctly a few days ago. Couldn't even load any TV shows on the AppleTV cause it would error out, but seems fine now.
-
For the record, Apple has finally fixed the grey thumbnails issue, including the ability to watch content on the AppleTV.
-
Great now could they please fix the grey thumbnails in ALL tv show espisodes in the TV+ app (iPhone/iPad), on the AppleTV, etc.? It won't even let you access the majority of purchased TV content on AppleTV at the moment. Seemed to happen after their…
