I've had AirPods since the original design, then the original AirPods Pro, and AirPods 3 (I think). I gave up using them because they are too easily lost, but mostly because they are not as reliable as wired EarPods. Thanks to the whole Convid deb…

Gruber has no one to blame but himself for losing access to Apple executives. He shot himself in the foot by making the comment involving "Cheetos", which I am not going to repeat here. Gruber's comment was crude, disgusting, and completely uncalled…

Apple rounds the actual display size of the new iMacs to 24", but it is actually 23.5", so 2" inches larger than the 21.5" iMac. If Apple's going to round up to 24", then it should do the same for the "21.5" one, i.e., 22". Be consistent Apple.

Per Apple's Product Environmental Report for the new mini, while "sleeping", it uses 0.5W. During "idle with display on", the mini uses 4W. Granted, that's not zero power used, but it's darned low. The only way to get the mini to use zero electric…

A symbol is *not* the thing being symbolized. Why are people scared of a drawing of a pistol? Txitter may be "an irrelevance" to Xbit and others, but it is still used by millions.

I bought a 13" M2 MBA last year, and it has rapidly become one of my all-time favorites due to its light weight, robust design, and overall performance. Prior to this, I had a variety of iPads, beginning with the original and graduating up to iPad P…

I've worn an AW since Series 0, and I've had a few false alarms, most of which were when I was moving my arms suddenly in unusual ways. Other than that, I've had it go off when I was running a chainsaw with the accompanying vibrations.

Jon Stewart, aka Jonathan Stuart Leibowtiz. has had his day. Time for him to hang it up.

The networks have tested positive for the dreaded cv. OMG! We're all gonna die!!!

William, please understand I appreciate the article about the store. There's a good likelihood I'll never make it there. Overall, I very much appreciate your take on Apple and your writing. I even watch 58 Keys sometimes.

The name in German is Kärntner Straße, aka Kärntner Street. Though the character ß looks like it's a "B", it is pronounced as a "sharp S". For sure, it ain't pronounced as an English "b".

USB-C should be made the standard for charging EV's around the world. Voilà !

I've never been "saved" by a warning similar to what this is a test for. People ought to take responsibility for their own situational awareness and pay attention to their senses. During cv BS a few years ago, we got many warnings through our cabl…

Aww, too bad.

I'm glad to see Apple addressing the noise problem in its stores. My nearest Apple Store, La Cantera in San Antonio, open since 2005, was built with a flat, reflective ceiling. That along with reflective flooring, tables, and walls make having a con…

I have never used Gmail, have barely used Goophabet search (actually, I used Scroogle back in the day), and plan to stay away from anything and everything Goophabet for the rest of my life. I do not trust Goophabet, Period. I see others on here sayi…

Yes, be wary of anything coming out of China when it comes to "news". Remember the clips early on in cv hysteria showing Chinese person keeling over from a standing position but somehow having the awareness to break the fall with his arms? And who…
