My pet peeve is the 'graphical' multi-user and file permission system of OSX. -- We need a simpler/friendlier way than NetInfo to manage groups. A 'groups' panel in System Prefs would be nice. -- We need authenticated dialogs, like 'Saves' and…

Without a doubt, Apple really screwed up by ommitting the 'chapter' feature in iDVD. Major FUBAR!
-
Unfortunately, 'chapters' are not a feature of iDVD (yet). Make sure you send Apple an email about this. They listen. For now, you will have to segment the movie and create seperate buttons for it. It's not perfect, but hey.

Broadcaster sounds like a lot of fun! I've already thought of one practicle use for it. Your family is having a birthday, but as usual, Grandma (or someone) lives too far away to make it. Solution? Set up the camcorder and stream your birthday (o…

Sherlock's internet search feature was absolutely killer when I was still on a 56k modem. It cut down my search times by huge amounts. It ruled. But on broadband, it is a lot less relevant, since it is so quick anyway and google is very efficient.

Finally. They look like Wintel prices now. It always pisses me off to see the same game on Wintel costing half as much. grrrrr....

Just don't steal from Apple, folks. It's okay to steal from other companies, though.

I have a digital camera. I bought it only 3 weeks ago. iPhoto takes care of the 'red-eye' (works really well) and organization problems very nicely. i give it * * * * * (5-stars).

iPhoto is obviously designed for the new iMac. Pushing around all those pictures really requires two things: 256MB of RAM and a G4 - both available in the new iMac. Works pretty good on my G3 PowerBook.

I started a similar thread here:

Like he said, it could be a driver issue. I can tell you that it is NOT a hardware issue. Diablo II and Diablo II Exp plays very well on my system, and I'm using a 2 yr old Pismo PowerBook.

What do you want us to say about it? It's only Office, for pete's sake. It's not like it's the cure for cancer or something.

I just came back from an Apple Retail Store, where I specifically went to check out Office X. It is definitely an excellent version of Office. By adopting the Aqua features, the UI has been dramatically improved and it looks just plain amazing to…

1) It's totally unnecessary. It's like buying snow for Eskimos. 2) CD burning software is integrated into OSX. It burns & reads the ISO formats. No problem. Toast is only necessary for multi-session. Audio & MP3 CDs are done thro…

Well, if you can't share the internet connection through a router, but still want to network the four Macs, then you will need to get an T100 ethernet hub and hook them all up to it. I don't know how often you do these big/huge file transfers, …

Weak video card?! what the hell is that nitwit talking about. GeF2mx is a freaking monster compared to the Rage 128 crap we've put up with the last couple years. What does he expect, a GeF4 ti? the man is obviously talking out of his ass. [ 02…

From the GeForce4 benchmarks I've seen, the GF4 rips the 8500 a more than few new as*holes.

Let's put it this way, Micheal Dell would cut his own nuts off for the profit margins Apple has. Apple's margin includes hardware, software, services, and investments - in particular, the returns earned on their $4.5 billion dollars in cash does …
