I picked the standard HFS+ Journaled that OS X uses. I have no use to share this with anything other than my mac. Of course I didn't *need* to reformat it as OS X easily recognized it's out of the box Windows friendly format.

there are programmable, customizable do-everything remotes out there that sell for up to $1000. So an Apple remote with the right interface and user-controlled customizability could certainly pull $300-$500.

I'm cancelling my .Mac at the end of the year. I've waited far too long for some compelling reason other than Homepage to keep paying $100 a year. Hopefully they will DO SOMETHING to .Mac to make it worthwhile to me...
