I'm reminded of a couple of years back pre-macworld sf when apple posted the "to boldly go where no pc has gone before"... Apparently some satellite from Nasa or something had a G3 in it so it was proposed that apple was going to announce some ea…

Either they'll release the new Apple gear tomorrow (usual Tuesday soft-launch), or they don't want to confuse buyers for the labor day weekend (huge sales weekend) and will wait until the Tuesday after. If I were Apple, I'd clean up on the back to …

from the image (if it's real) it looks like the black part is just a rubber shell, kind of like the rubber sleeves for the ipod...around the buttons on the side you can see white underneath. On the other hand, the superimposed "keypad" ghosting i…

I'd go imac for sure, the screen is beautiful, and as far as upgrades go, you can increase the hd as big as you want, RAM up to 2GB...unless you want to add analogue video capture cards or something to a power mac, take the imac value and run.

Did anyone else's replacement battery arrive with a three light charge on it? I don't think this is a new battery....

So far no one has mentioned the ACTUAL reason for these price drops: the record-low US dollar. The Pound and Canadian Dollar (and all currency for that matter) are performing very well against the greenback. It's about time that market prices fr…

I'm having the same issue with my american express...it keeps saying it's not a valid CANADIAN Credit card...WTF????? Maybe i have to get someone with a mac to enter this for me... I sent an email to the customer service void....like i'll ever…

I wonder what the prices are if the specs are nearly the same...and if the vram is upgraded and AE are built in...I'm skeptical on the 12" spec, no one in the industry uses 30gb drives anymore...i can't see 30gb HD's being available until the end of…

Next rev will have a 13.3" widescreen for sure. Sony has a new unit with one it's still under 5lbs i think...not that means anything, but seems like a natural evolution for the 12" ibook....

I'm starting to wonder if the new iMac's description (read: boring) will incorporate that "color changing" technology that apple patented a while back... Maybe the physical layout and design aren't all that fancy, but it lights up and stuff... A…

I agree on this. the 20" imac had christmas stop-gap written all over it. I wouldn't be suprised at all to see them slip a new imac under the rumor radar. Come to think of it, maybe the G4 ibook was a christmas cash grab too.... I'm sure ima…

I think that people are forgetting that Jobs stated the purpose of the ITMS was to sell ipods since they have no hope of turning a profit on music sales. "the survival of iTMS" is only important insofar as it promtes the sales of high-margin pl…

Enough with the Fu**in' tablet already!!! They're not going to make one! Even if they did NO ONE would buy one! Not even PC USERS buy them! Let it go...move on

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned or not, but someone here asked what would be compelling enough, beyond the current feature set, to make people buy a G4 based Powerbook. I think the FIRST DUAL CPU notebook would be a big draw. What Greg sai…

Lower the price gouging! We're back to a single drive bay too
