Zagg buys battery case maker Mophie for $100M
I wouldn't call out Zagg's screen protectors as a benchmark for quality. Their glass screen protectors are complete garbage, and their "warranty" return process means you're paying 50% of the cost of a new one just to get a "free" replacement. I've had MUCH better luck with cheap, $5 glass screen protectors from 5 Below. At least those don't scratch and crack around the edges within the first 2 months with no drops or hard impacts. -
How to make iOS 9's default apps disappear
bobschlob said:Oh goody. This is definitely top of my pet peeve list.
I was all ready to go to Android. But now that I can hide these apps, maybe I stick around after all. -
BlackBerry CEO bashes Apple's data privacy policies
techprod1gy said:I do not agree with Apple's position regarding data either. Can someone please tell me when the government or law enforcement agencies have used data to wrong its citizens? The constitution is fucking outdated people and needs to evolve with the times.
Homeland Security
Martial Law
Patriot Act
All were enacted because the government-backed Big Media put the fear into uneducated citizens who all agreed the government's "safety nets" are essential to protect "us" from "terrorists" and so forth.
Nobody should trust the government, no matter how much you believe you have nothing to hide. If you don't pay taxes, you lose your belongings and/or go to jail. How is this a "free" country, again? -

Apple TV gains Pandora app, but tvOS 9.1 still lacks Bluetooth keyboard support
deepinsider said:Siri is no substitute for BT keyboard support. It doesn't work for entering text in all contexts, only for searches. And what happens when Siri misunderstands? You need to type, that's what. I wish fanboys would stop making excuses for Apple every time they do something stupid. AppleTV gen3 > AppleTV gen4. Pretty sad...
"Fanboys" typically read.
When an iOS device is so much smaller, and almost always sitting right beside you, it's a LOT more convenient to grab than a big 'ole physical keyboard. Have multiple Apple TVs? Your options are:
1) buy multiple keyboards to use
2) keep pairing and un-pairing a keyboard for each one
3) select which Apple TV you want to control from the Remote App on iOS with a simple tap on the screen.
I'll take the latter.
There may be another solution: a Bluetooth keyboard connected to an iOS device... maybe a Bluetooth keyboard case on an iPad, like many people have, if you REALLY feel the NEED to use a physical keyboard.
