The M1 integrates an Apple-designed eight-core GPU. Each GPU core contains eight "executions units (EUs)", which in turn contain eight ALUs per execution unit. In total, the M1 GPU contains up to 128 EUs and 1024 ALUs, which by Apple's claim can execute nearly 25,000 threads simultaneously and have a maximum floating point (FP32) performance of 2.6 Tflops. 

I’d love to see a fanless middle ground that wasn’t a giant eyesore in that premium price point over a 4k hdr model and under a full on mac mini. It seems like apple priced the mini high because they wanted to showboat like they did with the gold apple watch when it debuted.

To those saying that Apple should make a $30-$50 echo dot competitor Apple has a $0 option - use your iPhone or Apple watch that you already own for a myriad of other uses. Of course Amazon could also recommend that you use your Amazon phone or watch - oh wait, they don’t have any of those. Apple doesn’t need to make a lousy speaker smart assistant device when they’ve already sold you something that can do the same thing. Better to improve the iPhone and Apple watch each year like they do.

Also in response to others, I think johnbear is just trying to be humorous. So has to start off and say that it is ugly. And then it would have been easier to catch the rest of the humor if he/she had said it was for Sick Elderly (SE). At least this is my take on the person's comment. A /s would have made it more obvious.

Facebook will probably get replaced by something else in not that long anyway. Any one (most) of college age or younger no longer uses Facebook and even those in their late 20's rarely use it anymore. At least in my experience as a Professor and father of teenagers and twenty-somethings.

Seems that 2011 is when they claim to have come up with their brilliant insight into cleaners. Note the patents they cite were filed in December 2017 and 2019; after AirPods had been released (of course they claim non-provisional and provisional filings going back to 2011). Wonder why they are not suing all of the other wireless headphones that use magnetic cases to hold them? Hmmm. It was hard for me to stop laughing when I saw their website.

Oh, and tin the lawsuit hey claim that the infrared sensor and the microphone in AirPods are lenses (since lenses are mentioned in the patent)!
