    Neither does the ban, directly.  It’s an Import Ban through an international trade agency.   The actual patent infringement case did NOT yield a verdict for Massimo.  So making the watch in the USA has everything to do with this case.

I got to the point of swearing at their India chat support and they just disconnected me. I sincerely hope the FTC fines them HEAVILY for their bad business practices. 
    I’d have done a chargeback — called my credit card company and say that I didn’t authorize it and had tried to cancel it.

    Companies that rely on obtuse terms and pricing and “hard to cancel”  policies know that their software is not really worth then price and so have to try and trap you.  

    Companies who have faith in their product and put customer first know that the customer will keep coming back.  Apple falls into this category.

    Meh.  If Android users are stupid enough to give some rando their Apple ID password, they get what they deserve.

    no appleID is required it said. You don’t have to log in to make this work as a phone number based system.  You can log in and get additional benefits.

    Good.  No need for another Amex based card.  

    Hopefully who ever dies the partnership with Apple keeps it a Mastercard.  I have a billion Visa cards but only one other Mastercard beside the Apple Card and for some reason JR East (Japanese rail company) allows you to load your virtual Suica cash/transportation card using Apple Pay but not with Visa.  Mastercard (and Apple Card ) works great.  I think Amex also works but I have no need of another Amex card but a master card is usable pretty much everywhere. Plus JR East. Since we travel to Japan every other year and the whole family has virtual Suica cards and I can share my Apple Card with family members and Apple Pay, the whole
    family can easily add to their Suica.
