South Korea threatens to fine Apple over App Store dominance
For those saying this is to protect Samsung. Samsung phones for the most part use Android and I would assume the Play Store is predominant even on Samsung phones and Google is being accused as well as Apple and their proposed fine is more than twice the Apple one. So I’m not sure how this is protecting Samsung. This is what happens when bureaucrats have jobs and nothing to do. They make up things to investigate and fine people for so it makes them look important and justifies their jobs. (Only half said tongue in cheek). -
National emergency alert test will affect all U.S. iPhones on Wednesday
These are not just for nuclear attack. Could be zombie infestations or other nationwide emergencies. But for the person who asked what you’re supposed to do if a nuclear missile is headed es your way, hide under your desk?
yes that would probably be a reasonable thing to do. Preferably in a basement. It is unlikely that the missile is headed directly for you, and if you are far enough away and with enough barriers between you you’ll probably survive, as long as the house doesn’t fall on you. Which is why you hide under the desk. -

Brothers behind massive Apple counterfeiting scam are jailed
What is a counterfeit iPhone? I mean, is it an actual iPhone made with real parts stolen from the supply chain? It would have to actually run iOS to be able to get past the checks I would presume. Even if they claimed they were bricked the fancy diagnostic cables attached should be able to read something I would expect. Just wondering what exactly they were turning in to Apple to make this work (not because I want to try it).
